Saltillo tile is widely known for its distinguished reddish-brown color similar to that of terra cotta. These tiles are made by hand according to its original cottage industry traditions. Each tile is sun-dried before being baked in the kilns. Due to this traditional artisan-based manufacturing process, each Saltillo tile varies in shape and size.
